Yokohama Bay

I am spending most of January in Yokohama, and want to spend some time fishing from the shore. I have an apartment at Yokohama station, some down time and fair knowledge of the trains. We're also planning a long weekend in the Kyoto area

I'm bringing a 9' salmon / steelhead bait cast rig and can throw bait or lures from 3/4 to 2 oz.

Does anyone have any suggestions: where to throw what, how and when, fishing styles, good fishing access, species charts, inherent dangers, or local shops that speak English?
