My grand father was running a fishing bait shop on the bay years ago when the bay was beautiful and had a limitless fishes. He passed away peacefully while fishing alone on his own boat. It's something great for a ...

Hi Maineman,

Good catch! Congratulations!
Looks like skinny after spawn seabass, right?

Aji is a good bait for Aori-ika too.

Re: chiba coast

Hi Martyn,
You can wade in Futtsu beach for Japanese seabass. You'll see some lure fishermen there in evening.

Fishing bloopers

LOL

I confess.
I broke my rods twice.
I fell in the water once with my camera.

Re: Kibide

Hello E5L,

It's Kibire, local name of Acanthopagrus latus, Japanese name Kichinu, a close relative of Kurodai. The anal fin and the bottom tip of the caudal fin are yellow, aren't they?

Re: NEW on the forum

I agree with Aki especially in February. It's not so good season for a jigging in Japan.
On the other hand, you can enjoy the International Fishing Show. And shopping maybe.

Is the Kanagawa River the famous image that we all know of so well?

Nigelman

Nigelman, it's not Kanagawa. It's Kano-gawa, 狩野川 runs from Izu mountain area to Numazu.

Off Kanagawa 神奈川沖 in this famous Hokusai Ukiyo-e is the water just in front of the Port of Yokohama. You saw it. :)

Hello Nigel, finally I made an EPS illustration data for a dark colored T-shirt. Can you put your site logo and slogan on the data by yourself?

Re: sea bass boils

You will soon know the difference of the sound between seabass and bora. Seabass make surface bite sound, not jump. :)

Re: TEAM DAIWA PRODUCTS

Bayside Marina is a beautiful marina located between Yokosuka Navy base and the Port of Yokohama. Five minutes walk to a train station and about 30 minutes train trip to Yokohama station then a few minutes walk to some good fishing tackle shops.

Hello Longone,

If you are going to arrive at Port of Yokohama, there is Sansui Yokohama and some other shops all close to Yokohama terminal station not so far from the port.
