Fishing Charter with Aki in Tokyo (Mar 30 or 31 or Apr 1)

Postby SushiUnagi » Thu Feb 18, 2010 8:18 am

Hi everyone!

I'll be travelling to Tokyo for 2 weeks in March/April of this year. Hooking up with Aki to do some fishing and he's able to take me out (plus 3 others) to fish for Seabass around the Tokyo area. I'm looking for 3 other companions to join me so we could split the cost. Its approximately 30,000 Yen altogether for the half day (either from 9am to 1pm or 3pm to 8pm). Or if everyone is up for the full day, I am all for it too!

I am not sure if its includes lures/baits/tackles/rods/reels/etc or if you need to bring your own. I will find that out. I was thinking of bringing my own all the way from Canada as Aki approved its specs :)

Please PM me or leave a msg! Looking forward to hear/meet other fishing fanatics on this forum and on this trip!! :)

Cheer,

Andy.

Hi Everyone! We're looking for 2 more avid fisherman to join us on this excursion at the end of the month.

If we have a third person it'll just be 10000 Yen (~US$100) per person. If we have a fourth it'll only be 7500 Yen (~US$75) per person.

Please PM me or leave me a message in this thread if you're interested or have any questions!

Meeting at Negishi Station.

I wish I could, but not this time.
I'm taking some time off for some ika egi.

My wife and I are chartering a boat out of Morosaki again in April for mataka.
I didn't know it, but my wife thinks that's the local word for seabass.

I'm interested in hearing the results of your trip.

Here's some pics from the trip.

Fishing was slow in the morning with only few hits for couple hours probablly due to super calm water. I haven't seen flat water like that for a while. But then the wind start to pick up and we got into active school of fish. Birds were diving, fish were busting on surface. The game is ON!

Action continued for 3+ hours and we left the spot with fish still biting. I don't even know how many fish we boated along with countless number of miss bites and spits. Average size fish were about 45~55cm but there were good number of 60cm+ fish along with few 70cm+. Biggest one was about 75cm. Most fish were released without photo to get back to action quickly.

Thanks for coming. It was a pleasure to have international anglers on the board. :D

Man I am still reminiscing this Fishing Trip! It was the best trip for me EVER!

Big thanks to Aki for taking us out on this excusion! Like Thom summarized, I would also highly recommend Aki for your Tokyo Bay fishing excursion! :)

Thanks to both Thom and Maineman for the company as well! Always great to meet and learn more about fishing from other fanatics!

Also, thanks to Nigelman for setting up this forum (so I could meet people) and referring Aki to take us out for this trip as well!

Truly it makes me happy to hear comments like this and this is why I designed this website so others could enjoy fishing in Japan. Without a community we would have no means of knowing where to go and who to go with.
