Thanks Andy and others for posting their profiles...

Jigging is the bomb and I love going out, there's something about not knowing what's down below and then BANG fish on!

Name: Adam
Nationality: English/Japanese
Age: 30
Location: Tokyo
Favorite Fishing: haze, kisu, kawahagi, all types of karei flatfish, magochi...too many to mention. I like using traditional Japanese bamboo rods for certain fish.
Favourite Fishing Area: Toyama Bay or the Sanriku coast. Although I fish Tokyo Bay the most often.
Comments: novice offshore fisherman, I started out in 2004. Want to take up fly fishing this year. My aim is to fish every single prefecture in Japan. So far I've fished Tokyo, Gunma, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Aichi, Chiba, Ibaraki, Toyama and Iwate. This year I will hopefully be adding Akita and Fukuoka. Last year I set up a bilingual blog to try to record my fishing trips and travels around Japan, and also my other passion which is cooking.

Transplanted from Minnesota to Hiroshima..... Looking to expand my fishing experience while we are here in Japan.

Miss fishing for walleyes and smallmouth....

Please reply if you live anywhere near Hiroshima and are looking for a fishing partner to explore and learn about fishing here in Japan.

Hey guys im am new to the site and i thought this would be the best place to give an intro. My name is Ben, I have lived in okinawa for some time now but never did more than seawall fishing with a few brews. Was a big bass fisherman in the states (NC) and really enjoy any type of fishing really. I am begining to get into fishing over here a bit more and am looking into getting a boat in the near future (just something big enough to out a bit). My goal is to learn bill fish, i like the size and love the taste, they are a fun fish to catch so thats my goal.

Look forward to E-Interacting with you guys.

I live near the Awase Ports, and no i don't have a boat liscense yet. I am still considering either buying a boat or going out with other poeple who have their own boats. $$ is always a factor.

you should try to get our boat license this October. There are only 2 times a year that you can take the test and 3 locations across Japan. Of course Okinanwa/Naha is one of the cities.... no sense buying a boat and wishing you could take it out, just my opinion.

Nationality:Japanese
Age: 25
Location: Tokyo starting October 08 (currently in thailand)
Favorite Fishes:all except those with poison stingers. My dream is to catch a large tuna or marlin.
Comments: Hi guys, Im new to this forum and really enjoying it! I lived mainly in the Caribbean islands Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago, then to Arizona USA, then to Zushi Japan, Western Australia, Thailand, and Im about to move back to Tokyo Japan in a few days. Grew up near the ocean most of my life as my dad teaches fishing technology for sustainable marine resources in developing countries for the Japanese government. I am more of an angler than a fisherman, but enjoy the ocean equally. I live life freedom after leaving university, and enjoying the knowledge this large world has to offer. But as for occupation I am a martial artist. Currently in Thailand and living the life of a muay thai boxer for a couple yrs now (my main passion is mixed martial arts). I love fishing and cooking, which seems to be my only other hobbies besides training and competing in the ring/cage and being with my friends. Since I live a very simple life with low budget, I am going back to Japan for about a year to work and save money. During that time, fishing trips are on the list of important things to do and would like to visit other prefectures other than Kanagawa and Tokyo area!!!

Here in Ohio, I fish for everything from bluegills to trout. Recently I've taken up fly fishing; love it! Here's my first steelhead caught in Conneaut Creek
